Recent cuts in state and federal funding for education is causing many issues for our school districts. The short term effects include larger class sizes, limited classroom materials and supplies and elimination of sports, music and drama programs. The long term effects will be local districts closing and regionalized schools being formed. This means our children may have to be transported to schools in other towns or counties. The Ellenville PTO is taking an active role in fighting the battle that has been imposed on our school district by the State and Federal Government. The Ellenville Central School is our community. We can not stand by and allow the elimination of our community. These changes will affect everyone, but the ones who will stand the greatest loss are our children. Please join our fight. Stand with the Ellenville PTO and fight for what is most important to us, the children of our community!
